Greetings from His Mansion!

I haven’t written since I’ve been back and although so much has happened I sit here blank, with no words coming to mind of how I could possibly give you all a glimpse or taste of what its like to be up here in the North East of the country. High in the mountains where life is being restored yet again in all of Gods creation. Although, I would love to tell you about all of these things, God has laid it on my heart to share with you specifically, about the restoration of Gods creation.
Spring has finally come to New Hampshire, Praise God! All of his beautiful creation is coming to life again. Just as a new season has arrived, so also comes, a new season here at His Mansion; one that could possibly feel like the dead of winter for some people in an emotionally, spiritually or even physically aspect.
Yesterday was a big day for 18 young men and women. Yesterday was the day that these brave souls walked onto THIS Hill with a mustard seed of faith hoping and searching for healing. Some, may have been more aware of this mustard seed then others but, non the less they all must have had it, for each and every one of them chose to walk onto this Hill. Most of these young men and women have searched for comfort, satisfaction, sustenance, life, yet they have all come up empty. The well in which they drew from brought nothing but more pain, discomfort, malnourishment and for some (or most) a lose of identity.
When I first heard that we had 18 new residence joining our family here at His Mansion I was moved to tears… 18 lives out of the millions of lives that are desperately in need of help, of change, of habilitation! 18 lives that will forever be changed! 18 people taking a blind step of faith into the unknown, wondering what will become of them! Deciding that they CANNOT do this on their own, ANYMORE! 18 people choosing to lay aside there pride and ask for help. Millions of people in this world are broken and in need of help, in need of a Savior. Little do they know they are searching in all the wrong places. This world CANNOT offer them that nourishment that they so desperately need… It can NEVER fully satisfy! Until the broken realize this, change ISN’T possible. Wait… let me reiterate that… Positive change is never possible without the working of Jesus Christ in your life!
Now, I would never wish for someone to HAVE to come here… to HAVE to relive the terrors of there past, to HAVE to break open the old wounds that have NEVER fully healed. To HAVE everything your used to, stripped away.. Its uncomfortable, terrifying, painful, yet in the end.. its life changing. You cant have healing without pain.. You can’t have peace without experiencing suffering, or discomfort.. They are all tied together, you see! God calls us to be transformed into the image of Christ. But to be transformed you must go through change, pain, difficulty, fear, sadness, joy comfort, peace, satisfaction, love, rest, exhaustion. To change they all must be tied together, just as the body has many different parts they all are needed to function. The same goes for this. If we don’t go through all of these different feelings or emotions then how are we supposed to change?
Readers.. It’s Christ that changes lives. Its Christ that brought these young men and women here, its Christ that wants to give them a second, third or even a fourth chance at life. Christ is the one working here! There is NOTHING that I, nor any of the mentors, Long-Term staff, or counselors that are on this hill, can do to bring about positive change. It is the working of the Holy Spirit within us that brings about change. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is the same Spirit that brings about healing and restoration to thousands of lives today. 1 John 4:4 says it clearly: “He who is in me is greater then he who is in the world.” The power, strength, courage and confidence of God are within us. If we have this, then what can we NOT do in the name of Jesus Christ??

            Food for thought…
Are you playing god in your life? Are you trying to make it through alone? Apart from God there is nothing… We are nothing apart from Him. Do you feel like change is impossible for you? That maybe you ran just a little to far away to turn back now? If this is what you believe, listen to me now! It is in the “what seems to be completely impossible” circumstances where God brings about the most glorious, remarkable, “life changing” miracles. Don’t for a second believe the lie that you have gone to far or that God cannot fix you or heal you! Its what we see as impossible God sees as an opportunity to reveal himself to us. There is NOTHING we could ever say or do that God can’t make right, “for he works ALL things for the good of those who are in Christ Jesus!” Praise God!

(Again I want to remind you, it’s not the people here that make the difference, it is God in us that makes the difference.)
